Digital images, animated 3-D models and motion capture technology belong to the new toolbox of today’s television and film design. Broadcasting companies all over the world are experimenting with the vast new artistic and technical opportunities offered by digital design. Digital images, animation and matte paintings are being used more and more, also in film design.

DIGILLUSIONS is an international seminar presenting the latest developments and future challenges in digital and virtual scenography in TV and film. Experts from Japan, Britain, France and Switzerland will share their experiences in creating digital images and spaces, virtual humans and special effects for television and film.

We welcome all attendees with a special interest in TV and film design, including production designers, art directors, graphic designers and animators, costume designers, directors, producers, cinematographers as well as advanced students. It is my honour and pleasure as moderator of the seminar programme to extend you this invitation to Helsinki.

         Welcome to DIGILLUSIONS!
