PROGRAMME AND SPEAKERS
DIGILLUSIONS is an international seminar presenting the latest developments and future challenges in digital and virtual scenography in TV and film. Experts from Japan, Britain, France and Switzerland will share their experiences in creating digital images and spaces, virtual humans and special effects for television and film.
We welcome all attendees with a special interest in TV and film design, including production designers, art directors, graphic designers and animators, costume designers, directors, producers, cinematographers as well as advanced students. It is my honour and pleasure as moderator of the seminar programme to extend you this invitation to Helsinki.

The participation fee is FIM 2,500. Registration is final only after full payment has been received by the Conference Secretariat. The fee covers access to all sessions, seminar material, coffee and tea during breaks, admission to the welcoming reception and the get-together party.
The fee is to be paid in advance in Finnish marks. You can pay by bank-to-bank transfer or VISA / Eurocard / Mastercard / OK. Cheques will not be accepted. Details for payment will be supplied on receipt of your registration.
Should you be unable to attend, a refund of your fee minus a FIM 100 processing fee will be given for written cancellations made by 28 August. Thereafter, no refunds can be made but an alternative delegate may be nominated.
As the number of attendees is limited, early application is advised. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note, registration is final only after conformation from the organisers.

Payment instructions and hotel booking forms will be supplied to the given address on receipt of your application.
Accommodation is not included in the participation fee. We have a limited number of rooms reserved at Hotel Pasila, located within walking distance of the venue. Rates are quoted per room, per night, including breakfast, VAT and service.

In order to receive the special seminar rate, you should do the booking through the organisers, not directly with the hotel. Accommodation booking forms will be sent after the Conference Secretariat has received your registration. The balance of hotel accounts must be settled by guests on departure at check-out.
Accommodation at the special rates cannot be guaranteed after 28 August.
The seminar will take place in Helsinki,
at the premises of the Finnish Broadcasting Company.
The seminar language is English.

Programme chair and moderator of the seminar is Ms Anu MAJA, who is head of design at the Finnish Broadcasting Company and associate professor at the University of Art and Design Helsinki UIAH (at present on leave of absence).
